The Konohiki Restoration Project is a multi-faceted approach to the issues facing Native Hawaiians. The Project's mission is to restore the health to the land and that which sustains; from the mountains to the ocean and from the heavens to the people, both Native Hawaiians and those others who care for the land:
- The Konohiki Land Trust addresses the multi-generational displacement of native Hawaiians from their ancestral lands by securing culturally significant landscapes and engaging in their planning, treatment, and maintenance, thereby facilitating the restoration of the traditional konohiki system of land management, allowing the repatriation of Native Hawaiʻians and securing access to traditional farming, hunting, gathering and fishing areas.
- Na Konohiki o Haleleʻa is a community organization that works to restore and perpetuate the culture of Native Hawaiian people through their lands, lifestyles, and sustainable systems. It also provides technical assistance and training, business development services and grant-writing assistance.
- The Konohiki Historic Preservation Facility will serve as the organizational and administrative center for Na Konohiki o Haleleʻa as they engage in the responsibilities of historic preservation under the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA). It will also serve as a base for cultural, sustainable and customary projects and practices.
- Atualele Canoe Project, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the perpetuation, practice and exploration of the seafaring arts and skills of the ancient Polynesians.
